Petition at the Post Office

There is a petition to sign at the Post Office in Burton for anyone who wants to object.
Please sign it.
It all helps to let the council know that we do not want a huge quarry on our doorstep.

Please note though, that an individual letter is a stronger statement than a signature and the more of those the council receives the better!

You can still act!

Although the initial 12th December deadline is passed you can still act against the gravel site if you wish.

Please write, email or call DCC with your questions, comments and objections.

The more they hear from us, the less likely we are to have the site on our doorsteps.

Meeting 08.12.08 Details

Thanks to Andrew Johnson (info@wrage.co.uk) for supplying the details of the meeting seen below;

The meeting was called by the Grange councillor Denise Jones, who spoke about the impact the site would have in Somerford and Grange, mostly problems with dust, pollution and traffic. The number of lorries was estimated to be at least 80 in and 80 out each day!

Meeting

There was a meeting about the proposals at 7pm in Somerford on Monday, in the Community Hall. Unfortunately I didn't find out until it was over and so missed it.

If anyone has any info about it please do let me know, or post it to this website.
